A versatile singer, Carole Fredericks’ voice and passion are still with us on these albums...
Springfield (1996, www.CDBaby.com/cd/carole) was recorded in July 1996. For her first solo album, Carole decided to
sing what she knew best - the blues and gospel. The entire album is recorded in English. Carole wrote the lyrics
to 12 of the 14 songs. She is accompanied by the Lafayette Inspirational Ensemble of Brooklyn, NY under the direction
of the late Oliver Williams. The album featured the hit pop single, Run Away Love, theme song from the Jean-Paul
Belmondo film 1CHANCEsurDEUX starring Vanessa Paradis, Belmondo and Alain Delon. It also showcased You Had It
Comin’ a rare duet with her brother blues musician Taj Mahal. The album Springfield, is a salute to her hometown
in Massachusetts and a tribute to her idols - Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson Sam and Dave, and the Beatles.

tracks. Couleurs et parfums... is a distinctive blend of dance music, rap, pop-rock and r&b flavors songs served up
en francais in a tour de force performance.
This year, Couleurs et parfums was reissued to celebrate the multimedia exhibition, Blues In Our Blood: The Artistic Evolution of Taj Mahal
