Tant Qu'Elle Chante, Elle Vit! Apprendre le français grâce à l'héritage de Carole Fredericks, is an innovative French language unit designed to engage students at their level of interest. This unique teaching tool is perhaps the first of its kind to integrate pop-rock music and music videos into an educational language format.
Tant Qu'Elle Chante, Elle Vit! is a joint venture of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) and CDF Music Legacy LLC. Since its introduction to teachers at the AATF 76th Congres in Martinique, July 2003, Tant Qu'Elle Chante, Elle Vit! is being used to help thousands of students learn French in hundreds of schools across America and Canada.
Information:
Tant Qu'Elle Chante, Elle Vit! has been added to French classes at the high schools and college level in the United States, Canada and as far away as Singapore.
Purpose: Add-on, works well in conjunction with established French curriculum. Supports the 5 C's - Communication, Connection, Comparisons, Cultural, Community.
Grade level: High School and College.
Unit includes: 1- spiral bound Activity Book (28 pages), and 6-authentic French language music videos.
Workbook content: Acknowledgments by Connie Fredericks-Malone, Special Note from Jean-Jacques Goldman, Carole Fredericks' Biography; Message to the Teacher by Nancy Gadbois; Song lyrics; Lessons for each song; Standards; Credits
Lessons include: Song lyrics, vocabulary lists, questions about the videos (factual and analytical), word search puzzles and fill-in-the blank activities.
Music Video Format: 1-DVD disc conveniently housed in a plastic sleeve on the inside back cover of the unit Activity Book.
