Mission, Goals & Activities

The Carole D. Fredericks Foundation is a (501 C 3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the quality of French language education. We accomplish this goal by rendering contemporary music in the target language into instructional materials, by raising the public awareness about the advantages of learning French and by promoting the study of francophone cultures from a global perspective.

The Foundation provides teachers with the highest quality French language materials. We develop and publish easy-to-use classroom tested lesson plans. Our teachers integrate student-centered classroom techniques, assessment strategies and effective technology into each lesson at every grade level. The language materials serve to reinforce state and national foreign language standards. They incorporate the 5C’s: Communication, Cultures, Connections, Communities and Comparisons. Our websites offer free materials such as an official biography, photos, lessons and exercises, news and one-stop shopping.

The Carole D. Fredericks Foundation provides additional support to French educators through professional development workshops, classroom visits and student assembly presentations. The Foundation’s Director, Contributing Educators and a Career-Educational Counselor have presented professional development workshops for individual schools, school systems and at foreign language conferences in the United States, Canada and Europe. We welcome the opportunity to visit personally with individual French classes and make assembly presentations about Carole Fredericks and Fredericks Goldman Jones at public and private schools across the country.
