Continuing Education for Teachers

The Carole D. Fredericks Foundation provides teachers with authentic French language materials that engage students, teach language skills and promote the study of Francophone cultures. Our contributing educators and authors integrate student-centered classroom activities, techniques for multiple learning styles, assessment strategies and technology into each lesson for every grade level. 

Professional Development Workshops 

  • Demonstrate how popular music can contribute to French language acquisition

  • Introduce easy to use, classroom-tested methodologies and complete lesson plans

  • Encourage the use the media/songs to create lessons for individual class populations

  • Explore Carole Fredericks as a role model for student career planning

  • Adapt workshops and methodologies for teachers of other foreign languages to use
